I recently played (and completed) Maniac Mansion Deluxe, a remake of classic (1987) game Maniac Mansion by LucasArts, a graphical adventure game known for its highly-acclaimed gameplay and its introduction of new ideas.

A group of fan of LucasArts games, made this remake in nice VGA graphics and fully translated in many languages. Believe me it was very well done!

Today I discovered that their site is closed. I don’t know why, but the only reason I can imagine is that this decision has been forced by the LucasArts legal department for copyright reasons.

LucasFun Games made also a really nice game called “The new adventures of Zak McKracken”, and I started playing it recently. It’s great. I’m sorry to blog this information so late, so that no one will be able to play it anymore.

Recently, LucasFun Games group was working on a remake of “Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade”, a masterpiece of classic gaming I played when I was a kid.
I’ll miss this game.

Hope LucasFan Games group to come back soon with their new Indy game.

I’m a BIG fan of these games, too. I played almost all of them, starting from Loom.
