Just for information to guys using IBM lenovo T43p laptops: yesterday afternoon I got Windows blue screen of death with laptop self rebooting twice. When I sent the crash report to Microsoft I got an information like “this is a known problem of IBM Rescue and Recovery blah blah, please update it following this link”.
This morning when I restarted the laptop, I was unable to use the wireless; I guess also the cable LAN wasn’t working as my ipconfig was completely empty.
Now I got it working uninstalling the IBM rescue and recovery stuff.
If you get same problem, just unistall this garbage.
It’s funny that a thing called “rescue and recovery” just manage to crash your laptop and make it unable to work. So I googled to understand what this stuff is, and I learned that is a set of tools to backup and recover from crashes. Now, I guess, the tool to recover from crashes is the R&R uninstall?
