I’ve updated to Ubuntu 8.04. It worked fine. Only I notice some little annoying problems. One of them is that the gnome-panel keeps freezing quite frequently, possibly due to the extreme unreliable network we have in our company. Anyway to solve that I fount that following command works: $ pkill gnome-panel It makes the gnome-panel [...]
